Creative Writing: Alpha Lander's Symbols

Alder rises from the ground in his human form with blood on his hands and face. Jade and I look down at the wolf who attacked us. He had died because of the bite that Alder landed on his neck. The man shifted back to his human form after dying.

He didn't look very old at all. I would say about low twenties. He appeared very dirty but that could also be because he was covered in his own blood. I looked over him and noticed a tattoo on his left bicep. It was a combination of two symbols recognized in the werewolf culture. One of the symbols is known as meaning void. It is two circles, a thin ring as the outside and a thicker ring inside of that with a hollow center. On his tattoo, though, it wasn't empty. There was a crescent moon

I was beginning to think he was going to be still and numb this whole conversation. I told him what happened when Jade, Alder, and I took our walk into the woods. I gave him every detail and put the most amount of emphasis on the man's unusual tattoo.

"If I give you paper and a pencil will you be able to draw this symbol?" he interrogates me.

I give a little nod and take the utensils into my hands. I quickly sketch what I saw and a low growl erupts from Alpha Lander's throat.

Rogues are the lowest level of werewolves possible. They are wolves that have been cast out from their packs and are forced to live on their own. They are vile, cruel, and contain no sympathy. In the worst cases, rogues will gather together and form large groups that aren't even called packs. They are called descents.

"I thought that rogues don't come around here..." I trail off when I begin to think about how many more there could be.

"They're not supposed too. Not after what happened last time they did," he says

May it please the court, I Maya Goldberg, along with my co-counsels, Mr. Foote and Mr. Rogers are here today to argue the tragic event of Nov. 21 1932. On Nov. 21, 1932 Simon’s life was taken away from him due to Jack’s lack of concern for human life. Simon was not only killed, but killed by dangerous conduct in a ruthlessly and unforgiving way. Jack, along with his kids, were unaware of what they were doing but that isn’t an excuse to the action they have committed. In Lord of the Flies, Jack Merridew is guilty of second degree murder; a killing caused by dangerous conduct and the offender's obvious lack of concern for human life, for the death of Simon.…

    >Klaus may as well not be a hybrid, just an Original who has some neat-o mutation to heal those with werewolf bites. Exactly! To be honest though the wolves from Twilight actually look like they're capable of bringing down a vampire unlike the TVD/TO ones. The Twilight wolves are huge while the ones we have on TVD/TO look how you've described, like wolf-dogs.…

Symbols of Lord of the Flies In literature, objects, places, and even people often embody more than just themselves. Authors find ways to weave simple objects or characters into symbolic players that create a deeper story within the novel. How these symbols act and affect each other is how the author can communicate to the reader. William Golding, author of Lord of the Flies, uses symbols to illustrate his opinion on the stories of boys overcoming outrageous odds.…
