Creative Writing: A Night For Deputy Danny Carter

Everything looked like this was going to be just another easy night for Deputy Danny Carter, when all of a sudden, a blood-drenched man who escaped from the nearby old farmhouse, crawls in the middle of the road desperately trying to flee from a pair of vigilantes.
Without delay, the Deputy takes the wounded man to the nearest hospital, which because of an extensive damage from a fire, has limited resources and a stripped-down overnight staff, only to quickly realise that the place is under siege, encircled by cryptic, shrouded cult disciples who prevent them from getting out.
Eventually, before the graveyard shift ends, inside this rat’s maze, the unfathomable, ancient nightmare that secretly resides inside the hospital will be unleashed,
