Creationism: Theories In The Scientific World

Improved Essays
There are many theories in the scientific world. Most are supported by evidence and are accepted as fact in the scientific community. Creationism is the belief that life, the Earth, and the universe are the creation of a supernatural being. Evolution is the change in the inherited traits of a population of organisms through successive generations. Creationism has been tested in the scientific community and it can’t be tested to prove or disprove its accuracy. With Evolution its been tested and proved to be false based on evidence. Evolution relies on evidence from fossil records, the geographic distribution of species, and recorded changes in species. Many fossils have been found of creatures and fossil records in general suggest that multi-celled organsims only appear after single-celled ones, that complex animals were preceded by simpler ones. Geographic evidence shows the fact that before humans arrived in Australia 60-40,000 years ago, the country …show more content…
Many argue that either God created the conditions for evolution or point to patterns occurring in nature as evidence that the universe is not random but created by an intelligent human being. People who believe in Creationism argue that evolution is a “Theory” and not a fact and should be taught as much. Other creationists believe in an older Earth with species separately by God.
Although science cannot test issues of Faith, scientific studies have disproved many elements of Creationism. Creationism has been criticized by several religious organizations. As they maintain the Christian faith. Richmond Dawkins is a big part of evolution, focused on mutations and doing test on whales to prove is point. Darwin speculated about how natural selection could cause a land mammal to turn into a whale. As a example, Darwin used North American black bears, which were known to catch insects by swimming in the water with their mouths

Evolutionary Creationism is a belief that God created the universe and all life including our surroundings through evolution. We have an old Earth that is 4.6 billion years old. When God was creating the Earth, the seven days weren't made up of our twenty-four hour days. The time he spent was consisted of what we know now as years. This took up a lot of time as well as the many years in between each event in the Bible.…

For example, Darwin studied Finches on the Gallapagos Islands to explain his theory. Within the birds, he could see small variations, but they were the same species. Then, an argument could be that maybe there is still more to discover as far as when organisms started inhabiting the Earth. Many people who argue against this idea don’t typically argue against the idea of there being a designer, but whether or not the order and complexity of the universe means that it was indeed designed. Basically, that maybe everything didn’t evolve over time, but maybe complex organism combusted randomly, without a…

This could be possible because you may say something along the lines of, " There is no way that out of pure luck where something was in the right place at the right time, that all of this could have been created out of absolute nothingness, therefore the universe was created by some kind of god and then science "took control" and the modern animals and humans as we know them came to be through evolution. " This would be more logical than perhaps saying something such as," Adam and Eve were created and that is how humans came to be, but all other animals came to be through evolution. " This is could be seen as trying to keep with your religious upbringing and beliefs, but you have come to be somewhat a fan of scientific theory through relations you have made over the years. A person may also "believe" in both depending on who they are with. If they are with a group of religious people they may say that they believe in Creationism.…

Finally, a scientific theory is a hypothesis that is then supported by observations and explanations. It may be right, wrong, or even partially wrong. There are various evidences that support the Theory of Evolution and many others that prove it's opposite. Some people are against the theory, others believe and even added more and more ideas to it. There is no strong scientific evidence that proves that either side is 100% true and…

There is a separation from science and religion when they should go hand in hand. Evolutionist, however understand that the conflict between evolution and creation is there but they look for the concrete evidence of why. Darwinism and Christianity are the two sides of the argument and those that have accepted Darwinism have made them no longer believe in creation. This new way of thinking impacted Christianity and their morals within society.…

In the very controversial topic of evolution and creationism there are times when both are censored and not taught in the class room, and other times when one may be left out of the classroom discussion. Evolution is “the process by which different kinds of living organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms during the history of the earth” (“Evolution”). In contrast creationism is “the belief that the universe and living organisms originate from specific acts of divine creation, as in the biblical account, rather than by natural processes such as evolution” (“Creationism”). These ideas are both widely controversial for obvious reasons, evolution assumes there is no God because the universe began with a big bang and bacteria that evolved into life; meanwhile creationism is based off the idea that God had a hand in life and the creation of the Earth. Evolution is a widely accepted theory that has captured the mind of scientists and students alike.…

Evolution refers to change that occurs in a population over time. These changes are produced at the genetic level as organisms’ genes mutate in different ways during reproduction. Evolution is a change in the gene pool of a population over time. Populations simply adapt to their surroundings. Lots of things change over time.…

The theory is that from these two, the entire population of humans was created. Other organisms were also created in a similar fashion. This theory is preposterous since it is based purely from a religious standpoint, which, in turn, leads it to be wrought with errors and ignorance. The Bible, although it is very symbolic, is not the most reliable of sources, since it is over 3,400 years old, and written over a period of 1400 to 1800 years by more than 40 different authors. The Bible has some historical truth to it, but the theory of creationism has none.…

Every specie in the earth is came from an ancestor. Their ancestor change over time to adapt to the environment, this theory knew as evolution. Scientist called it a theory not because it just a belief that can’t be prove, but they already found many piece of evidence to prove that this theory is actually true. The three trustworthy evidence for this theory is fossil evidence, homologies, and biogeography. Fossil evidence are the evidence that found in the fossil of a species.…

An unbiased examination of evolution provides little to no strong evidence, but strong evidence against it. If evolution were correct, evidence would be displayed all over the fossil record. However, there is no evidence preserved in the fossil record anywhere of transitional forms occurring. Mutations are discussed in Darwin’s theory, but mutations cannot increase DNA like the theory requires. The complex life forms of life could never have occurred by…

Creationism and Evolution one is allowed to be taught in our school the other is banned in all facets of its matter. Evolution is a science subject that teaches our kids a species can develop from a single cell organism. This is an inveigle way of teaching without having proper evidence of this theory, so we are teaching our kids something that is no more than a fairy tale. We don 't teach about God or creationism in public schools because we lack physical evidence of his existence and we don 't force our religion on others, the same can be said about evolution, it is strictly just a belief and our lack of knowledge and physical evidence of this religion should not be forced on our students because it provides no truth. The debate between the idea of creationism and evolutionism has been going on for quite some time now. Evolution is more commonly taught in schools because the teaching of the Bible and its facts are considered socially unacceptable. However, the Bible’s view on the creation of the earth, along with all the creatures that came with it, provide much more evidence that the idea of evolution. Creationism provides explanations on how Earth was created, how the planet slowly changed over time, and how organisms such as mammals and non-mammals transformed or even disappeared. Overall, creationism provides more evidence than evolutionism on how all of creation came into existence.…
