Creationism should not be taught instead of actual science, or in Public Schools. In the case that you are wondering what it even is, the following sentence is the definition of creationism:”The belief that the universe and living organisms originate from specific acts of divine creation, as in the biblical account, rather than by natural processes such as evolution.” As stated by Google. But that is what it is. A creation “science,” which does not make much sense, considering the fact that science is an intellectual understanding of practically everything, through observation and facts. Yet still, there is much controversy as to if it should be taught in public schools, and replace biology. Yes, I do know religious freedom exists. That is incredible, absolutely great. But when you want to force your beliefs onto others, and make them believe in Creationism, a non-science and non-factual system, that is where you can not go any further. It is unconstitutional and not smart for the future generations. I am also aware of the fact that private schools are expensive. But if you want your child to know so much about creationism and to keep their religious affiliations, take them there. In those schools, your child is doing and learning what you want them to do. And if they are smart enough, they have the chance of getting scholarships for that private school. But as I stated for the last objection, millennials are more aware of what is actually happening. For the ones that are educated, they understand that creationism is simply not a science and should not be taught in public schools. Also, Betsy DeVos is a billionaire creationist.
