Since the topic of creationism against evolution is ongoing, all the authors had similar views on the controversy. The first author Robert E. Kohler released his article in 1987 meaning that he had not yet experienced the court cases that went on throughout the 1990s and there were still many unsolved on the problems in the school systems. Kohler is a professor of both history and sociology sciences making him credible for this topic but not necessarily unbiased. His article persuaded the support of science and its research more than support for the fundamentalists.
