There are two main categories for creationism, they are Young Earth Creationism and Old Earth Creationism. Young Earth Creationism is an idea that is based on the contents of the chapter Genesis from the bible and states that the earth was created about less than 10,000 years ago. Old Earth Creationism is a form of creationism that is based off of the contents of Genesis and does use scientific theories to support itself. Old Earth Creationism has two parts, the first being Progressive Creationism and the second being Day Age Creationism. In the theory of Progressive Creationism, it is though that what happened in Genesis happened not in a week as we know it, but slowly over the course of millions of years instead.…

In God We Trust Modern day chronological dating is founded on time before and after Christ. Creationism is a religion that millions of people follow and worship based on personal belief, evolution is a science that has been studied and supported-at least, that is what many scientists, atheists, and even religious affiliates believe. An uprising in the highly debated topic as to if creationism and evolution should be taught in publicly funded schools creates a line of progressivists versus Darwin advocates who each have their own set of presumptions on what should be taught and where. On one side, Creationists are arguing that creationism is an alternative to evolution and should be taught so that children are not put on a one track train to…

Throughout the ages, there has been an ongoing debate in the Christian society over how God created the world. The Bible seems to tell the creation story very clearly, but there are many different interpretations of what it actually means. There are mainly two sides to the debate: the side that says the creation story is very literal and the side wch says the creation story is metaphorical. In the past, many arguments have arose over these different topics and there have been many variations of evolution theories, many of those trying to mix God’s creation with scientific theory. As Christians, it is hard to know for sure how the Earth was truly mad because of God’s power to do anything, but all that can be done is to make an educated, Bible based guess.…

The Gospels are an intertwining of history because they trace the life of Jesus, his miracles, ventures and ultimately his death and resurrection as well occurrences in Israel across numerous historical accounts (Strauss, 2011, p. 1035). “The Gospels begins with accounts of “the life of the historical Jesus” (Strauss, 2011, p. 1035). It is important to remember “the Gospels are historical in that they are set in a specific historical context” (Strauss, 2011, p. 1022). History displays that “it is beyond dispute that Jesus of Nazareth was a historical figure who lived in Palestine during the period of Roman domination and was crucified by the Roman governor Pontius Pilate sometime around AD 30 – 33” (Strauss, 2011, p. 2132). The Gospels are…

As a diverse conglomerate of living, pensive intellectuals, and humans, we live in an ever-changing society that faces conflicts and controversies on a daily basis. Those altercations could last for quite a short time or could span over multiple days, months, years, or even decades. In addition, they might take on a grandiose and visceral importance to the masses, or instead, they may act as a common issue, like interpersonal and intrapersonal conflicts. Conflicts of interests are a defining factor of human interactions for as long as history can recall. Through the process of trial and error and the introduction of counter logic, the human population evolves firmly held thinkings and beliefs, even some that are centuries old.…

I believe in new world creationism, or that God created the world and everything in it in six literal days. Before time began, God was there. He created everything that ever existed. When he spoke, there was light, sky, dry land, plants, stars, the moon, fish, birds, animals and mankind. " And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good" (Genesis 1:31) God is a creative God and everything that he made, from clouds to a tiny lizard was, and is, art.…

At the time of explaining the origin of the human being there are two main theories as widespread as different, which are creationism and evolutionism. Creationism is based on the religious doctrine of the creation of man from the power of a deity. In Christianity it is considered that everything that surrounds the human being, even himself, was created in 6 days, being the seventh a day of rest, which is why the weeks have been formed with seven days. The theory of creationism in addition to exempting man from any interaction in his evolution, requires the believer's faith in a written text thousands of years ago.…

Over the years people have speculated the origins of the earth whether it was created by a powerful unworldly being or just happening spontaneously. Creationists say the earth was created by God in 6 days while evolutionists say that the creation of the earth and the life on it happened spontaneously. Both groups have valid reasons for the creation of the earth but there is no definitive answer or proof of how the Earth was created. “Evolutionism is the idea that the universe is the result of random cosmic accident. Life arose spontaneously via chance, Chemical process and all life forms are released and share a common ancestor.”…

This subject seems as though everyone knows something about it but their facts seem as though they are rumors. My views on our human origins are that of Creationism along with Evolution.
