Creation stories are a narrative describing how the world began or was created, considered symbolic whilst other Christian branches such as the Lutheran and Islam read and understand them literally. The creations stories in Christianity and Islam have their differences but they share many similarities as they are “people of the Book”. In the Quran, the term “The people of the book” refers to all monotheistic Abrahamic religions that are older than Islam, including Christianity. It is hypothesised that the creation stories in both the bible and the Quran show more similarities than differences when taking in consideration that both Christians and Muslims are “people of the book” however the creation stories demonstrate more differences than similarities. The key points to be analysed in the Bible and the Quran creation stories is the initial creation and the fall of the man.

Many people of faith do promote the understanding of the natural sciences but they believe it must serve creation not set itself up in place or against God. For many people creationism is more simplistic therefore more appealing than natural
