Creation Myth

Decent Essays
A creation story is found in nearly every myth from all around the world since time began. The very foundations of myths are set from some type of tale of creation. The Gods are often seen with human attributes and interacting with humans. Fighting over who controls the earth is a theme that is often found in creation tales as a way to explain troubles and problems in daily life or in the environment. Myths do hold some sort of truth, but that truth is more metaphoric. Oral tradition was the way that myths were handed down and held meaning in the way of human experiences. Myths were needed as a model or an excuse for human behavior.
