This will be the highlight of your summer and maybe your life! Creation Festival is one of the largest Christian festivals in the nation. From my perspective from the past eighteen years, Creation Festival’s beginning, and why I keep going back? This Festival is truly the highlight of my summer.
Every summer since I was born I go to this summer event. My main reason for going back is for five days I don’t have to deal with the world. Also, from camping under the stars, being around nature all the time, having seven different stages to chose from, and hearing the message from inspirational speakers; creation is my place to be at. No matter what the weather is like the festival people say safety is their number one priority. The nice part of being at the festival is I can meet the speakers and bands that are at creation.
This event started in the 1970’s by men coming together and creating what would be called a Tribute to our Creator. Tim Landis and Harry Thomas are the co- founders of this music festival. Their purpose for Creation is to reach out to those attending, so the audience hears the gospel through multiple ways and

From taking communion, having a candle lighting service, and ending with fireworks this event has meant so much to me. First, I love this event because the location is beautiful from the surrounding nature; this makes me feel god’s presence every day. Second, the fire pit with s'mores and sleeping under the stars; I can’t get this experience at home, but I can come here and have this every night. Also, having a chance to hangout with friends everyday is a good perk to going to the event. The overall point of why I go is on the night of the candle lighting service. This experience is only a once in a summer chance for me to see thousands of people from a diverse culture coming together, and contributing to a “city set on a hill” of creating light only from

Attending this festival made me feel closer to home since I come from a town that the majority of the population are Mexican. While I was waiting for FAMA to perform it was heartbreaking that in the crowd a child got lost and it took a while for the parents to find him. I was surprised at the parents, because they saw how many people were there and some would still let their children be running around. Therefore, it was a pleasure to attend the Chicano Park Festival because it have insight on the significance of the…

The event I attended was the Cuentos y Culturas Latinx Heritage Month Showcase hosted by Say Sí. The event ran from September 23rd to the 24th. The performance was only available on the opening days, however the exhibit portion was open to the public for a few weeks after. The performance was an original stage production that portrays one of the creation stories from the Coahuiltecans, who were Native Americans that lived in the southern regions of texas. The name of the production is Napako, meaning “our journey”.…

I enjoyed this visit because I love learning about the lifestyles of other cultures. I also like to learn about other religions and how they compare to Christianity. It was an amazing experience, and I know that I will do it again next year just for fun. I had an awesome time hanging out with my friends and family while learning new things. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of the festival, and my favorite part was the jewelry.…

My first State FFA Convention was the 90th Annual one, complete with lazer shows, a random limo, and getting to eat in Bricktown. And while I had a lot of fun, the biggest thing for me, \was that I really got to learn what the FFA was really about. On top of that, I learned about a few careers, and got to listen to some amazing speakers. All of the speakers had great messages. The first one about living in the moment, the last about tomatos, and how to live a better life.…

As I have grown to be the young women that I am today, many events have taken place throughout my life. Such as the Freedom Festival, and the Fish-o-Ramas, I have learned through multiple areas what I would like to be when I grow older and I couldn’t be more proud of it. The Freedom Festival and the Fish-O-Rama I have been to both multiple times in my life. The Freedom Festival lasts about 2 weeks ending with Fourth of July fireworks in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa. During these two weeks the festival has at least 70 events, the two best known are the parade and the fireworks.…

What I really enjoyed was the atmosphere. The lights were dimmed so people could feel more comfortable and the music consisted of a good balance of upbeat music, and slow music. Songs were sung and people worshiped for about forty-five minutes. This was a very moving experience. Glancing into the audience, it was evident that everyone was engaged in the worship.…

The morning starts bright and early, children arrive, their eyes are filled with excitement. Singing and dancing takes place, children laughing and playing with friends; they learn new stories and something new each day of the week. There is glitter, glue, paper, and stickers on the floor. Kids are surrounding you, wanting you to be their new best friend. Some children already know about Jesus and stories from the Bible.…

What exactly is the Renaissance Festival? I found this to be a reoccurring thought on the opening day as my family and I arrived at the Festival. The Renaissance Festival is a unique festival that takes place in the United States of America. Most of the time they are non-permanent set ups that are only around for a period of time. They recreate the felling of what it would have been like to live during the Elizabethan Era or the medieval times.…

Blast is a winter retreat for both middle school and highschool students in Wisconsin Dells. Blast only lasts for a weekend but it is an amazing opportunity to learn more about God and about your friends. We start off Blast by singing songs, making jokes, and talking in hilariously bad British accents on a two and a half hour drive to Wisconsin. Once we arrive at the Kalahari Resort we have time to get settled into our rooms and go to the first Blast lesson. The Blast lessons are presented at different times so that in between lessons we have time to either go to the huge indoor pool or the indoor theme park.…

National convention is something that I have been looking forward to ever since my older sister left on the bus for her first trip to National convention in Louisville, Kentucky. I have been working towards this opportunity since my very first FFA meeting as a freshman in highschool. I was encouraged to join FFA by my mothers family. My grandparents, mother and, uncle all participated in FFA and loved to see the tradition carry on! This past year I was an active member and did not miss more than three FFA events.…

I finally saw the the beautiful sun for the first time without having to bend my head back as far as I could since I had been in New York. It shone down brightly, warming my skin and glimmering off the glass of the skyscrapers in the near distance. I could finally feel the soft breeze wrap around me and not get deflected from the buildings. I watched the people from the city enter the park and watched as their city attitudes give way to the magical ambiance of the park. I closed my eyes and took it all in, and I could’ve stayed on top of that rock for…

As the people of God, a person of faith, and part of a community parish called and committed to serve and speak for those who may be voiceless, who need a vision of hope, who need the way, the truth, and the life to conquer and have victory this day and always in and through Christ. You and I are most privileged just like the apostle Paul and others to be heralds, helpers, and herders leading one another to search, to seek, and see Jesus active, abiding, and abundant in all things of heaven and earth. As God’s servant’s and stalwarts, we know from our relationship, redemption, and resurrected in Christ and his grace and glory; we are and have been surely blessed by our Lord’s bountiful gifts and because of that we are indeed thankful and appreciative, yet quite aware of our responsibilities and resolutions day by day to work in his fruitful vineyard and Kingdom to share and shine the light and life of the gospel good news everywhere. Reading, hearing, and investing ourselves Into the Holy Scriptures of God, we learn lessons of what to do and not to do. In other words, we are given a second chance, to start anew with a fresh beginning.…
