Social Media Strategy Plan

Improved Essays
This task involved creating a social media strategy plan, I have realised the importance of having a strategy to help someone to have a document that can help them plan better or stick to the objectives. I thought it would be a great idea having a strategic plan for Facebook so that someone would have an idea on what I was doing but also help the next person who will might take over to have an idea of what was being done and can change what wasn’t working or recommended. This was not part of my internship but I thought it would help me work better. This is something that I picked up at Unitec during the Special Communication Project course. This helped me stay on track and gave me guidance so I thought ARCC would benefit from the same. I had …show more content…
She was like the # name, we can call it #redefinerefugee. This was hard to take on at the beginning because we had to get approval for the General Manager because we work in a sector that is advocating for former refugees to be accepted as real citizen and not always calling them refugees. So we thought we need to come up with a killer campaign that won’t be rejected because even if the board and manager likes the idea, it still need, to be approved by community representatives. I like this concept as it is more of a bottom up …show more content…
I guess to show that refugees are also human. While we were thinking of just taking pictures for social media and hopefully have #campaign that can go viral. We had a meeting with Amnesty international at our office, Anita the head of media came in to help us with how to handle media, and how both organisation can collaborate together, so we had to tell her on projects we were involved in, which Sarah had the opportunity to tell her about this new #campaign we were going to be working on. ARCC was also working on a storybook project, this is centred on the need to capture individual resettlement stories, in order to come to learn the resettlement journey of former refugees and find ways to work together to solve issues and challenges. Let’s just say Anita was soaking in everything Sarah said and she loved our idea of the campaign and she believed that it could actually be a bigger campaign that can even have a bigger impact in the decision making around the raising the refugee quota.

I guess this small campaign is becoming bigger than we thought and we have been pouring all our energy to make it a success. I can say on top of all my other tasks I believe this is one of the most project I am proud to be a part of, because not only is it personal but it’s close to our heart and we hope we do it

In Donald Trump’s political ad Two worlds:Immigration, he uses the fear of terrorism, unchecked immigration, and national insecurity to scare the nation’s Conservative Republicans into voting for him. Trump’s fear mongering starts the ad off with depressing piano music and a candid side view photograph of Hillary Clinton cast in shadows looking downward. Her expression is cold, detached and calculating. This photograph has been altered to look dark and sinister like a thunder storm, leaving the background blurred and so dark that only one thing can be seen, the silhouette of the capitol building - also cast in shadows. The building looks gloomy and uninviting.…
