The college has to stay competitive with other local college in the area and for most students cost is a huge issue. If a college 20 minutes up the road is $100 cheaper a credit hour then they are more likely to go to the cheaper school. The college keeps their prices low to appeal to a wide market. CCC has on-line students from all over the world. Appealing to a wide market helps keep enrollment up. I think that CCC could improve by following the second strategy, Differentiation Strategy: Offering Unique & Superior Value for a Wide Market. If CCC is more expensive than another college but has something unique to offer students that other colleges do not have it may cause student to decide to attend CCC instead of the other

Often times community college is thrown out the window without the least bit of consideration. The stereotype that community colleges aren’t as educated or students that attend community college are “not good enough for a four year university” are stereotypes that still exists today.
