Judy Rivera 19th Anniversary Project

Decent Essays
BRIEF SUMMARY
Paul and Judy Rivera are celebrating the 19th Anniversary of their marriage together. Their Anniversary is on August 12th. They wanted to do something special for the anniversary that would last them more than just a day. They decided on a getaway Anniversary trip. There were plenty of getaway ideas to choose from, but in the end a weekend cruise getaway was chosen. There is so much that must be done in order for this project to be successful.
PROJECT GOALS/PROJECT OBJECTIVES
There are three goals and three objectives for this project. The first goal is to make sure all the plans are made with a reasonable budget. The second goal is to make arrangements for them to get to the boarding area at the port and back home. The third

They are technically the ones who hired us to do this job. This project is all about them and their Anniversary. The stakeholders for this project would be me and the team that are helping me to plan this project. We are the ones that have a vested interest in this project because we are planning it and coming up with various ideas to turn it into something great.
KEY MILESTONES/DELIVERABLES
A milestone is a significant event in a project that occurs at a point in time. Each milestone should be something very important, not just anything that you can cross of a list. I have chosen three key milestones for this project. The first milestone is to pick the cruiseline, the country, and the amount of days the cruise will be. The second milestone is to choose between the suite, oceanview, balcony, or interior room. The third and last milestone will be to pay for the cruise and print out the tickets.
HIGH-LEVEL TIMELINE
This project was chosen in short notice, so there is not much time to waste in getting it done. The high-level timeline for this project includes the following tasks and deadlines in which they should be met:
1. Choosing the cruiseline, the cruise dates, and the country by August 5th 2017
2. Choosing the room by August 6th 2017
3. Booking the cruise by August 8th

This includes the cost of the room, the cost for the driving arrangements and some spending money for shopping in the country of their choice or if they want to do something on the ship that their tickets don’t include such as playing in the water with the dolphins, etc. The room that was chosen was the oceanview room so that will be $469 for each person plus the $80.30 tax. So that adds up to $1,098.60 for the oceanview room. The trip to the port and back home will be about $400 dollars, it’s a 5-hour drive to the port and back to their home. Adding that $400 dollars on the cost goes up to $1498.60. Judy and Paul will also have $300 in spending money which will add the cost up to $1798.60. The extra $201.40 will be saved in case they run out of spending money.
GREATEST CHALLENGE
The greatest challenge for this project is the time limit. Today is August 3rd, Paul and Judy’s Anniversary is on the 12th of August. That is a mere 9 days from today. Usually trips need to be planned months in advance, but we’re planning this a few days. This short notice also makes cost difficult, because the closer the date of the cruise arrives the more expensive the rooms get since there are only a certain number that are still available. To overcome this challenge all hands have to be on deck. Every milestone, every goal, and every objective must be accomplished either on schedule or ahead of

Shipping Out and Into the Heart of Darkness I was relieved when I found out in Tom Scocca’s interview with David Foster Wallace that Harper’s magazine had the writer cut in half what was a 110-page article. I enjoyed reading the magazine’s published version, but was also more than ready for the cruise and the article to end when it did. I think I was possibly feeling a little of what Wallace was feeling, which is a credit to his descriptive and precise prose. “Shipping Out: On the (nearly lethal) Comforts of a Luxury Cruise” displays Wallace’s wit, perception, and humor, as well as his affinity for the big word.…

On September 21, 2015, Ms. Sophia Martinez approved the topic of researching and addressing the problem of mandating the purchase of an overpriced dining plan provided by Texas A&M University (TAMU) to students living on campus. To be in accordance with the dining services on campus, there are numerous innovative selections to accommodate the availability of dining options for students living on campus. Some of these options are in five different type of blocks ranging from 90 to 240 meal trades and about 300 to 500 dining dollars per semester. The price of dining options can range from $1,300 to $2,100 per semester not including tax.…

Around one month ago, myself and my family embarked on a thrilling and enjoyable vacation. The first leg of the journey was an eight hour drive to Tampa, Florida. The following day began with driving to Busch Gardens in Tampa.…
