Cranial Nerves
Introduction The cranial nerves are important nerves in our brain and they are located on the bottom surface of human brain. They are twelve pairs of nerves. Some of the cranial nerves are responsible to control body muscles, some of the cranial nerves are associated with the internal organs or glands such as human heart of lungs and some of the cranial nerves are responsible to take information from the sense organs to the brain. A list of these nerves is given below with a detail of their functioning etc.

Assessment techniques in case of damage of any Nerve
Cranial nerves start working direct from the brain through different human body organs. Disorders that can cause any damage in cranial nerves are inclusive of injuries, inadequate blood supply, and use of drugs, infections, tumors or inflammation. Damage in cranial nerves also causes headache or facial pain. Damage of cranial nerves can affect our hearing, eye sight, taste, swallowing, facial expressions, muscles of neck, etc. In case of any damage, the doctors ask for these symptoms to the patient. Further, he will test the cranial nerve functioning and after that a computer tomography will be needed to image the functioning of cranial nerve. If any eye eight or eye movement issue happens, we ask the patient to move their eyes to a specific point or target to check the movement.
