Craig Groeschel Faithful In Service Analysis

Selfless- Faithful in Service This sermon was the very thing that I needed. This was a sermon by Craig Groeschel about being a servant. He opens up with a question, “What would people say that you are always doing?” For example people would say that he is always loving his wife Amy. He talks about changing people's idea of what a person is always doing. Likewise being a servant is never being someone who self promotes. Groeschel talks about three things that you can do to be faithful in service; bring a lunch, offer a ride, and carry a towel. What does it mean to bring a lunch? Groeschel tells the story of David bring a lunch to his brothers during the battle. David first had to be faithful in service before he was ever given the chance to fight the giant. If David would have not followed through and listened to his dad about bringing the lunch, then he would have never defeated Goliath. Groeschel mentions that if we are faithful in the little things, then God will entrust us with the big things, like being king. The Lord also calls …show more content…
Jesus told his disciples specifically which donkey to choose. This was prophesied in the old testament by Zechariah, that a king would ride in on a colt. Jesus gave instructions that the disciples were to untie the donkey, and if they were asked what they were doing say it was for the Lord. They did exactly that, but this was a donkey that had never been ridden. The owner of this donkey asked the disciples and they did exactly as Jesus said. The owner without question after knowing it was for the Lord, let them take it. He offered a ride to Jesus. We as Christians are supposed to freely offer what we have unto the Lord. Matthew 25:40 says, “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!” When we offer what we have we are not just giving to others but we are also giving to

We must serve our awesome God. When God came to earth as a man, Jesus, he didn’t just enjoy it, he worked, he served others. There are so many examples in the Bible of serving others. 1 Peter 4:10, Matthew 20:28, Proverbs 11:25, 1 Corinthians 9:19. My favorite two verses that explain servantship so well are Acts 20:35, “....…

In today’s society, people are swept up in the wrath of being too prideful, or become greedy. These deadly sins deaden our religious life, causing us to distance ourselves from God’s path. Everyone must dig deep into their spiritual lives, and lend a helping hand to those who need it the most. Whether it’s simply having a conversation with a homeless person, donating money, or volunteering at a daycare for the destitute children, these charitable acts can make a huge difference in someone’s life. My service learning experience was an eye opener for me, and it made me realize how privileged and blessed I truly am.…

My overall goal in life is to wake up every morning and not dread going to work. I want to be able to face a new challenge, help others, and make a difference no matter how big or small. I want to take pride into what I do and not just think of my job as an action to survive. I believe it is difficult to do so in a scene where a good handful of people do not give you the full respect deserved. In the article “Congregation Gone Wild”, G. Jeffrey MacDonald claims that Congregations have shifted their way of approaching their audience in order to “sooth” churchgoers and keep them on their side.…

I am truly honored as being a nominee for the Easton Chapter National Honor Society. The standards that must be proven to be nominated by this prestigious society are an example of the hard work and dedication I have exemplified in school. Throughout my years of schooling, I have tried my hardest to get good grades, while also demonstrating the characteristics that make up the National Honor Society; they are leadership, service, and character. While I have exhibited all three throughout my educational career, I feel that my service characteristic stands out above the rest. Service can mean many things, but to me, it means helping someone perform a task they can’t complete themselves, sacrificing your time, and assisting the less fortunate.…

True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…

God is to be worship and honor throughout a person’s daily interaction with others. In closing, worship in spirit and in truth is an action of a person’s will to acknowledge God for who He is their lives. God is worthy of all the honor and glory, therefore, the heart of humanity must be transformed and the spirit has to be renewed daily. The Bible records Jesus Christ saying, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me” (Rom. 8:34, EVS). Worship is all about God.…

While at a young age my values were primarily products of my cultural background, my spiritual journey began to have the most impact on my values as I matured. I grew up in a practicing Christian family, but I did not begin to act upon my faith until I was a freshman in high school. In the final months of my freshman year, I lost all of my friends and fell into a state of depression and anxiety for the next five months. It was during those months that I became aware of my desperate need for God and really began to pursue a relationship with him.…
