In the acting business, where for decades many actors have been chosen based on their sex appeal and uniform looks, it is inspiring to know that there are some people of color who are trying to change the face of Hollywood. Craig C. Chen an actor with over ten years experience in the entertainment industry is crossing over to directing. He has began to create cinema and television projects that he hopes to cast more Asians in them.

Craig C. Chen, a San Fernando Valley native, met with Entertainment Reporter on the set of one the latest films that he will appear in Bright Lights of Tomorrow for a Q&A. Chen: I have been acting since 1999 but I have taken some breaks at times.

Hollywood Entertainment Reporter: What kind of projects are your currently working on?

Chen: Casting, editing, directing, and producing a movie trailer parody but, an Asian version.

Hollywood Entertainment Reporter: Why did you decide to create an Asian parody?

Chen: Because I saw another Asian parody and thought it would be funny to use all Asian people. Plus it would be an opportunity to spotlight more Asian actors.

Hollywood Entertainment Reporter: What do you feel has been your most notable works?

Chen: I played a tourist photographer in the Return of Ghostbusters Fan Film, in 1000 Ways to Die I was chosen to be a student driver, in Unusual Suspects on the "Stone Cold Killer" episode I was a police officer, also appeared in Soupman commercial, and had speaking lines in Cali Swag District's "Shake Somethin" music video.

Hollywood Entertainment Reporter: What has been your biggest obstacle in landing principal roles?

Chen: I'm to unique in terms of my voice and personality.
