The Craftsmanship/Irony Behind Civil Disobedience Over the generations, our society has been faced with many trials and tribulations. How must a nation overcome such things? The solution is civil disobedience. Civil disobedience is when a person attempts to prove his or her point by opposing unjustified government policies in a non-violence matter. Some speculate there are cases in which civil disobedience can be detrimental to one’s humanity, while others see it as a way of stating his or her own opinion based on an ethical and practical perspective. Ultimately, it depends on the citizens whether or not they want to reject these wrongful laws that the government has enforced. Many of the leaders in the United States possess certain characteristics that have led up to a corrupt government. Humans who are being treated like second class citizens use this technique in high hopes that they could change any laws they believe are unconstitutional. Many people obey their government system without even considering the moral truths that are followed or not followed behind one’s actions. If society were to live in a utopia, then maybe that is when they can have a government that satisfies everyone's wants and needs, but this idea is unrealistic. So for now, all we can do is continue to use civil disobedience as a tactic to fight for what we believe is morally right. Ultimately, a person should disregard order and a civil government, because only then will he or she be able to have the courage to dispute unjust laws and make a historical difference that will never be
