“Wow I can’t believe someone’s trying to close this restaurant,” I thought to myself as I was eating at Cracker Barrel. I enjoy going to your restaurant I go there often with my family on the weekends. The restaurant brings me and my family closer together. Your food is delicious and savory. I have read that your mission statement is to please your customers, every time I eat at our restaurant I am beyond pleased. And so is my family. I find your southern style really fascinating and unique most restaurants are boring because they have no theme to them. As I walk in your doors I get this vintage feeling with all of the pictures and late inventions hanging on the wall. I also really enjoy that you have a store, so that when your restaurant gets busy I can look around while I’m waiting. Whenever I sit down to eat I can see people around me who are smiling. They are having a good time with their families …show more content…
My name is Aspen Taylor, I am an 8th grader who attends Silver Hills Middle School. I have always loved going to Cracker Barrel, I remember when I was little my parents went to parent teacher conferences and if they were pleased with mine and my brother’s behavior and grades (which was all of the time) they would take us to Cracker Barrel as a prize for doing good. I have been going to Cracker Barrel for as long as I can remember. It truly was a treat that I couldn’t wait to eat. But one day I came to the restaurant and I was so excited to eat that gooey, soft, delicious french toast but when I looked on the menu I couldn’t find it. It had been removed from the menu. I was so sad that I had to order plain pancakes. I mean the pancakes are good but they’re not as good as the french toast. I decided I was going to just have to wait, until next

About 9 years after opening Amor Cubano in November 2007, lines still crawl around the block to get in the restaurant. Founders Julio Quevdo, Mario Zarate and the young couple Dailyn Santos and Jorge Davis brings the Hispanic culture back to the corner of 111th street and 3rd Avenue in Spanish Harlem. Amor Cubano is located at this location so far, and Vivian Baquero (associated with the owner) states, “the idea of starting the company was Julio’s and so he got his friends to work with him to make the business survive” and that became the revolutionary start of bringing get together and Cuban culture back to Spanish Harlem. Best Dive Bar Essay

Dive bars are broadly defined as a shabby and disreputable establishment—essentially the lowest of quality drinking establishments. Though there are numerous guides to Boston’s “best dive bars,” this complicates the definition of what exactly constitutes what makes a bar a “dive”. If a dive bar is always shabby and seedy, is it possible to be “the best” in being the worst? If so, would the award for the best dive bar actually go to the worst? Many of these common standards that define a dive bar are a series of contradictions.…

Every time I walk into Texas Roadhouse my eyes wonder over to where the rolls and their special cinnamon butter waiting to be consumed by the customer. I hear country music playing in the background, and feel peanuts crumbling under my feet like leaves on a beautiful autumn day. Without looking at the menu, my mind is already preparing my stomach for the flavorful food that I am about to encounter. Texas Roadhouse gives the Newark population somewhere local to get a great steak while getting a significate value. From personal experience most of the other steakhouses will get very pricey for a family of five making it difficult to dine at their restaurant while living on a tight budget.…

My expectations before participating in this activity was for it to not be as authentic as it was. I did not realize that there was a place downtown that had such real and good food and wondered why I haven’t heard of this place before. Also, I was surprised with the poverty I saw around the area. I have always grown up in areas that have a decent amount of money and have never been to a spanish speaking country or area before. This experience really opened my eyes to the fact that there are places out there that still have authenticity and still try to resist becoming “Americanized” in society.…
