During the disastrous 1950s the Civil Rights Movement sparked the South with lots of protests and deaths from black communities. During this Civil Rights Movement there were lots of deaths and all of them were for no reason. During the Civil Rights Movements there was a protest with bus segregation were Roman Duckworth was the first Military police officer to die who was black. The other death counts were form the KKK.The lynchings of the south brought the attention to the North by showing what Southern whites did to blacks
(1) Cpl Roman Ducksworth was a military police officer who got shot in Mississippi. Roman Duckworths early life was when he was 5 years old his father died and was raised by his mother. Roman Duckworth was born in 1934 and was killed at the age of 27. Andrew Goodman, James …show more content…
Andrew Goodman and james Chaney and Michael Schwerner were killed while leaving Mississippi because of the KKK threatening them and the KKK found them and killed them and buried there bodies.
(3)The aftermath of the Roman Duckworth trial was debatable because there were many myths saying that Roman punched William Kelly and saying he shot him in defense and other myths. 50 years later Duckworths family is still waiting for justice and said there agent never visited or called them.
(4)The aftermath of the 3 activists was the police found there bodies and found other bodies on in the river in Mississippi. There trial is closed and had been closed and FBI wants to go back to the case 50 years later. When the police was investigating the murder they tried looking for the murders and then found out the KKK have killed them after the KKK threatened them if,”they didn't leave they would kill
