Coyotito Chapter 2 Summary

In the beginning, Coyotito was stung by a scorpion and Juana quickly sucked out some of the poison from the wound. Kino and Juana rushed Coyotito to the doctor. The doctor’s assistant told Kino that he needs money and Kino took out some misshapen seed pearls, but the assistant told Kino the doctor had gone out.
Kino and Juana goes on a journey to find a pearl to pay the doctor to cure the baby. Kino slides over the side of the canoe and with his basket and rock, he searched for oysters. Kino finally found a pearl perfect as a moon, large as a sea-gull’s egg.
