CoverGirl Clean Foundation Review: Yet Another Mistake in the Line

I’ll be honest with you: I don’t particularly like the CoverGirl brand and I have made few mistakes with it by now. However, I received a request to test and review the Covergirl Clean Foundation, so I decided to give this brand another chance for recovery.

Let’s see what the manufacturer claims for this product. First of all, it is oil-free makeup that is supposed to absorb the excess oil from the skin and leave a natural finish thanks to the gentle conditioners that don’t allow the skin to dry out. The coverage is supposed to be light and non-cakey, without clogging the pores at all. Sounds great, right?

Well, as with most great marketing campaigns, the features of this foundation sound too good to be true for less than $7.

The packaging looks nice at first, until you open it and notice that it doesn’t feature a practical dispenser. It’s only a hole, and it’s really difficult to get the foundation out of there.

Now on to the lasting features of the Covergirl Clean Foundation, where things get really messy. My oily skin started looking really bad two hours after application. It looked even oilier than without any foundation at all. It set into the pores, made them look more noticeable and things got so bad that I simply had to wash my face and decide to never use this product again.
Conclusion: Do I recommend it?

That’s a definite no-no! Don’t try this product on oily skin. Yes, it is cheap, but purchase three cheap, useless product like this, and you’ll throw them away even though you already spent the money that could buy a really nice foundation.

The Covergirl Clean Foundation really seems like a good deal, but that impression will remain only until you actually try it. Overall, it was a nightmare experience for me and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with oily

That is quite a promise and claim. The message is that if you use this product line your skin will look better in two weeks and may even look like the model in the advertisement (who 's photo has probably been perfected by a computer program). I am not a dermatologist or skin expert, but I do know that once your skin has damage, such as wrinkles, spots from the sun damage or age, there is no way to reverse the affects. Especially not with an over the counter skin care line in the price range of Oil of Olay products. I believe this ad makes big promises that will not come true, however, it is not unethical since worst case scenario will be consumers that are disappointed that they spent money on a product line that they thought would improve their skin when it does…

Nevertheless, there many reasons why these seemingly small things, have a big impact. The cosmetic industry has an annual revenue of over fifty billion dollars a year.…
