According to the text there are four types of love, Courtly/Romantic, Companionate, Friendship and Same-Sex Love. Courtly/Romantic is defined a powerfully emotional, intense love in which a person believes that there is love at first sight, then there is only one true love, and that love conquers all. Companionate love, is, calmer than romantic love, emphasizing intimacy with, affection for, and commitment to another person. Friendship love is an attachment between people, it is the basis for a strong love relationship, including sexual gratification and romantic commitment.
