A courageous thing he did was just going to the war and just being there. It's courageous because going to war is very dangerous because any simple mistake can lead to death and especially the sniper as he is surrounded by the enemy and is in the heart of the battle where even an old lady is helping but not him the enemies which he later has to kill. Another courageous thing the sniper did was when he shot the man on the turret and the old lady which blew his cover.(O'Flaherty 2) When the sniper shot the man on the turret it It showed that he wasn't scared of blowing his cover and it would certainly let the enemy sniper know that there is an enemy there and if he let the man on the turret and the old lady get away it would mean certain death for him so by being courageous by blowing his cover and killing the old lady and the man on the turret it shows he'll risk his life for anything. The sniper is courageous because he went to the war to fight and also by blowing his cover by killing and old lady and turret man which could lead to his death.
The trait for being courageous fits Brian from Sick the best. The reason it fits him the best is when he said "I'm going to get my sister" despite the super human flesh eating monsters out zombies out there. By risking his life just to save his little sister and especially with zombies that he knows can kill in literally just one blow but that doesn't matter to him
