One in five people have courage. In many stories, characters face a struggle. The play Romeo and Juliet is written by William Shakespeare. This is about two teenagers that fall in love and die. The tragic hero Romeo has the flaws born a noble birth, suffers more than he deserves, and downfall arouses pity or fear. The first characteristic of Romeo is that he was born a noble birth. “O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?” (84) This is when Juliet asks why Romeo has to be Romeo. This is important to the work as a whole because this leads to the downfall of Romeo. The tragic hero Romeo tended to suffer more than he deserved. The second characteristic of Romeo is that he suffered more than he deserved. “Immediately, we do exile him hence.”
