Courage Definition

Decent Essays
Growing in a military household I know the true meaning of courage. It is the willingness to sacrifice your services and self for something much larger. I run cross country and I care about my girls in a way that I am unable to put into words. Freshman year I was not a courageous person, in fact I barely spoke. The upperclassman respected this and still included me making me feel apart of something bigger than myself. This year, as a senior, I am the most outspoken person on the team, including everyone, letting all the girls know they are important and always have me if they need to talk about what is going on in their lives. I would not be who I am today without the seniors my freshman year; they gave me the courage to grow into my own skin
