As the store manager, I know that Leann, a dedicated employee for over 15 years, has been essential to my store. She acted accordingly by verify that the coupon did not match the item that Scott has tried to purchase. She followed correct store procedures that must be followed to accurately account for products sold and their costs. As a cashier, she is expected to act ethically around monetary transactions as she has done. This belief must be upheld because this situation represents something much larger than a simple apology or a loss of sales.
