Counting calories can be effective for many people who try it. I believe that it can only be effective to an extent. If you decide to count your calories for the soul purpose of losing weight, than it will help you for a while but it will stop working if that is all you choose to do. What I mean by this is that if you want to lose weight in a fast yet healthy way than you should do more than only counting your calorie intake. Exercising, eating healthy foods, and counting calories altogether can make for a healthy weight loss. Body type, height, age, and gender are also key factors in weight loss and counting calories.

Eating healthy foods are a key factor in counting calories because they create energy and nutrients to help you get through the day. If you at a diet of mostly fruits, vegetables, and whole grains than you will get the essential nutrition and healthy forms of calories, carbs, proteins, and fats. A healthy diet could also include nuts, seeds, and fish. Not only do you have to make sure you are eating healthy foods but you will want to make sure you watch the nutrition labels so you can record what you eat. Some foods that you should not eat too much of are greasy foods, breads pastas, and cheeses. While these are unhealthy foods, it doesn’t mean you should never eat them. It just means that if you eat less of them you will feel healthier and your skin will be clearer as well.

You might ask why, well the answer is simply because your body becomes accustomed to the way you eat and the foods you choose to eat. It works the same way when you count your calories, exercise and eat healthy foods. When you are on a diet you should always have a huge variety of foods to choose from that are healthy. Have multiple workout plans so that you can do something different every day.
One reason that I believe counting calories can help you up until a point is because not everybody is exactly the same. There are many different factors that come into play when talking about weight loss and counting calories such as body type, metabolic type, height, weight, age, and gender. When you are trying to find out how many calories to eat in a day you need to base it on these six factors. Counting calories can work on some people better than others, for example, my sister decided to count her calories and in the last two months she has lost a little over 20 pounds. She doesn’t exercise and she eats a bowl of ice cream at least twice a week. Her metabolism is very different from mine. I started counting calories the same day she did and have lost only 10 pounds with exercise. Just because counting calories works on someone
