There are many reasons and circumstances that would lead people to buy over the counter medication, but when used inappropriately or taking more than needed, it can become dangerous. It is important to acknowledge that misusing or abusing medication can be dangerous and negatively affect our health. Apparently students misuse medication inappropriately because of stress in school or insomnia. They increase the amount of such drugs with the purpose to relive stress, sleep better. Other students misuse medication to compete with other or for fun without noticing they are becoming dependent of that particular medicine. It is important to follow professional advice for exactly the amount of the medication that is needed to avoid serious consequences
