(In the book he is well-educated and bilingual while in the film, he is uneducated) Provided that the film had major contrastments when compared to the book, there also some minor changes that influenced the quality of the movie. One important change being the annual whipping given to all prisoners, including Dantes which is seemingly left out of the book. Another minor difference is the cause of Faria’s death. When looking at the film, he gets a punctured lung after rocks cave in on him in his attempt of escape while compared to the cause of death used in the book which is epilepsy and continual strokes. Lastly, all changes, whether minor or major affected the quality and/or plot line of the movie. A minor change like the location of Dantes’s arrest or the way in which Villefort burned the letter all lead up to major differences like the education level of Dantes and the origin of Albert. Paper Towns: Book vs Movie I’ve chosen to write about the differences between the book Paper Towns and the movie, basically what they didn’t include and what they changed in the film adaption. Personally I would say that I prefer the book before the movie, because the book is obviously more detailed and you get to read about the character's backstory and get to know them better. The author, who co-produced the film, made a video on youtube where he talked about the fact that the movie will be like the book but at the same time it will not.…

Often movies are made out of blockbuster books. Sometimes the movies do a good job of capturing the most important moments from the book and presenting them in the movie. Unfortunately, some movies do not always accurately depict the books they represent with full details. There are many reasons why a movie depiction of a book fails not least of which is because they are only given a couple of hours to tell the whole story in the book. A book is able to go in depth with the character’s emotions and experiences while a movie based on the book is limited by the length of the film.…

In “The Landlady”, Billy Weaver is lured into a seemingly normal bed and breakfast by an old lady who, despite her gentle and unthreatening appearance, wants to kill him. It is a story about how those with cruel intent may take advantage of those who are innocent and naive. Although the book and the movie can be arguably similar if generalized, there are many differences that may change the way a reader/viewer may grasp the concept of the story.
