Counseling profession is upheld by ethical codes of conducts, and counselors should adhere to these principles set as guidelines. According to the Code of Ethics (2014), practitioners’ obligation is to assist and steering individuals on how to solve personal, social or psychological issues and difficulties when presented. Therefore, your own opinions, especially when it comes to topics such as termination, euthanasia, drug, and child abuse should be avoided in the therapeutic intervention.
