“Devin!”, he screams in my face, “Devin go grab the keys!”. That’s right, the keys! That should have been my first reaction but I was just so surprised by this “thing”. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before, it was everything and anything. First it was a crocodile and it changed, and changed, and changed, at one point it looked like a human but the eyes were very unsettling. The thing still …show more content…
After breakfast we decide to go out and hike on the property since we had more than enough to adventure. The main focus was to look out for rattlesnakes, it was summer in Colorado, we got the idea to be careful after a very long and tedious lecture about it from Bailey’s parents. The first thing I did when we were set free was, of course, go to the spot where I saw the cougar. Upon arriving I see the dead body of a doe. I was intrigued but then horrified when I saw that the doe was missing its front legs. With bite marks on the neck only, which I determined was the kill shot as there was hardly a mark on the rest of the body. They didn’t believe anything and assumed I was trying to scare them. It was a common thing for us to try to scare each other with stories. But this wasn’t one of those times. Other than that, the rest of the trip was relatively normal, but the last night, tonight, it all went to hell.
After sitting by the fire pit telling stories we all started to feel anxious and uneasy, the colder night weather did not help one bit. We went inside since we would have to get up early to leave the next day to go back to California. We put a movie on and started to settle down before bed. Suddenly there was a loud thumping sound on the glass door next to us, but it was pitch black outside and impossible to see.
“What the..What was that?”, Brison shrieked. Him Bailey and I got up and ran to the door. And turned on the light, oh god I wish we hadn’t. There was the bloody outline of a hand on the glass door.
Baileys dad yells from the top floor, “What the hell is going on down
