Cost and benefits of immigration are the advantages and disadvantages people consider immigration will bring to the U.S. People stated there is 3 cost of immigration. First, IT RUINS the American worker population (Unit 8 Lesson). Immigration takes a job held by American with a very low wage (Cochran, 366). Certainly, with the same skills set, the company will hire immigration because they don’t want to cost too much of the firm. This caused the loss in income of American as well as weaken the American labor. Further, immigration is a heavy burden on the public program (Unit 8 Lesson). Immigrants don’t have any benefits in employment; nevertheless, they take benefits from health care and education. The society are fragmented due to the overpopulation with many cultures. Opponents stated that the culture and society structure has been destroyed (370). However, immigrations have benefited the American society. Immigrants fill the need of the economy (Unit 8 Lesson). For instance, there are some jobs that the American don’t want to do or it lacks resources, the immigrant can take this opportunity and get the job (367). Additionally, immigrant adds more revenue to the budget. For instance, recent data shows that immigrants contribute to tax more than benefits they use public services (369). Ultimately, they create diversity and enriches the society. Immigrants bring the cultures they from and teach others the positive side of it (370). This will make a better place for people to live
