Offshore Technology Conference Spotlight on Technology Award was presented to Halliburton in RezConnect Well Testing System this year as well. Unethical Repercussion. Halliburton plead guilty to destroying evidence related to the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Halliburton’s guilty plea was the third by a company concerning the gulf oil spill. Halliburton agreed to three years’ probation and to continue cooperating with the criminal probe.
