As the marketing manager for cable company X I’m asked to prepare a price strategy that will be reviewed by my vice president. This price strategy should answer the following question:
¥ Determine your price objective with your justification.
¥ Determine the demand of your service and how this influences your pricing strategy.
¥ Estimate your cost elements and discuss how this will influence the price of your service.
¥ Prepare a competitive price analysis.
Select your pricing method and determine your final price along with your justification.
The following report is prepared for the vice president of Local company X. The marketing department is determined to set a path for success in this local cable company and boost revenue for the upcoming years. Local cable company X has some very stiff competitor in AT&T U-verse and the Dish Network. We still believe we are able to set a standard and benefit from a solid pricing strategy.

AT&T U-verse is a solid opponent and is putting a lot of pressure on all other competition. It was released in 2009 and it uses fiber optic technology to provide customers with access to digital and high definition television via IP multicast, which allows a single channel to be sent to many television sets. Their prices start at around 50.00 a month and bundle packages around 89.99 a month. It benefits great from it name along which solid in the mobile phone industry.
The other competition is the DISH Network. The DISH Network is a relatively new direct broadcast satellite service provider that provides satellite television and internet, audio programming services to commercial and residential customers around the US. Their customers have increased to 13.6 million countrywide and they are continually gaining momentum and growth. Their growth in number and neighborhood makes them a dangerous
