Cosmo Narrative

It was a week since I have last spoken to Cosmo and I started to suspect that he got himself killed by going in the eerie human’s house, but he has ventured into that abyss many times. I told him that we needed to get ready for the harsh winter by expanding our web so our children would have a well built web to rest on while they grew. I captured two moderate size flies that night. They looked very scrumptious, but I was reliant on my dear Cosmo to crawl his way back home so we could have shared dinner together. The next day I saw the blonde human get in his magic, toxic spitting box and roll away again. That day I worked on my web in the hope to impress Cosmo if he ever discovered how to get back home. I desired it to reach from one edge of the building to the other and I imagined how magnificent it would be, imagined how many creatures I could catch for my lovely husband and our offspring. That day I crawled down the cold metal water drain and exchanged conversation with Keleigh, my cousin, and she told me how Ashlyn, her sister, got crushed by a human near the house a day ago, but all I could think was, “Thank God, it wasn’t Cosmo”. …show more content…
He destroyed of one of my sister’s webs, which made me very upset. I heard him moving things around like if he was looking for something. He went outside of the building and stared at my web like if he was pondering on something while I was eating one of my flies from the day prior for I caught a larger and juicer bug for Cosmo. He then, quickly like a squirrel, jumped and ran into the building and started making a lot of noise. I wondered what he was looking for. He came back with something in his hand this time. It was a small black and orange

Video games are arguably even less associated with storytelling than comics are, with some critics believing “that the video-game form is incompatible with traditional concepts of narrative” (Bissel, 93). Where the medium truly excels, however, is with its capacity for immersion. Like how the addition of sound allowed filmgoers to not just watch the action but hear it, “Every new medium that has been invented … has increased the transporting power of narrative” (Rose, 36). Where readers of books and viewers of movies are passive, gamers take an active role in their narratives. In games like Mass Effect this means making key decisions that affect the development of the plot, but in games like Naughty Dog’s Uncharted and The Last of Us, this…

The narrative analysis that I will be analyzing is the Three Act Structure for the 1954 Rear Window. In this analysis, it will describe a break down of how this film is structured and what all theses structures mean in application to the audiences understanding. In order to understand what the Three-Act Structure this film provided, we will analyze the film as well as use reference to Module 1 of the Three Act Structure terminology. At the beginning of the film the first image, the audience is introduced with the rolling of window blinds going up, and then shows a scene of a group of people that are located in an urban New York apartment building. From the view of the film we are viewing it from the protagonist apartment window, in which he oversees the whole apartment courtyard.…

As a film genre, Science Fiction seems boundless as it encompasses any element that is both futuristic and somewhat plausible in nature. Often sci-fi films can be subdivided based on the devises used be they aliens, time travel, or technology driven dystopias, but sci-fi films, even within the same subgenre do not always propose similar ideals. One of the popular subgenres of sci-fi is that of artificial life or more specifically, android/cyborg films. Blade Runner and Terminator 2: Judgement Day both carry the android/cyborg device which are thematically the same, yet deliver different messages to the audience. Both films use a dystopic futuristic setting where the antagonist is sentient machine who are displayed as hitmen in the films.…
