As a child it was always my dream to own a salon called “A New Me”. When I was in eighth grade the cosmetology teachers came to talk to us about selecting Cosmetology as an elective for high school. We took a trip to Southwest High School to see what the students do in cosmetology, I knew from that point I needed to take the class.
When I first started we did book work for the whole school year to learn Cosmo terms and tutorials from the Milady book. For the first semester we had to learn general sciences, skin care, hair care, disorders and diseases and business skills. The second semester we learned different remedies and how the Egyptians, Chinese, the Greeks, and the Romans would use materials from outside for their hair and makeup. We
