Cosmetology Career Research Paper

Since I was a little girl, I always wanted to pursue a career in the cosmetology. My aunt April, who once was a master cosmetologist, inspired me creatively, but emotionally to follow my passion for hair. I knew at the end high school that sometimes things don’t always go as planned. After high school, I became pregnant, I thought my dreams for cosmetology was lost forever. Nine years later after raising four kids of my own, I decided to go back to school to become a master cosmetologist. That’s why I have chosen North Georgia Technical College because of the involvement they have for their students. Cosmetologist must have the ability to use colors, curls, straighten hair, and style base around their client’s hair. As a cosmetologist, it is your job to provide beauty and hair services to enhance the appearance of your clients (“Occupational Outlook”). Often employers seek for cosmetologist who is outgoing, and can maintain a clean, safe, and free of pathogen environment. A professional cosmetologist is a beauty adviser and are creative when issue may occur. For example, promoting and recommending products; in addition, to hair styling, colors, and nails. Those considering going into this occupation as a career may want to ask themselves if they are ready to be hands on and creative always. Although secondary school is not required for most Cosmetologist, some chose to go. Most cosmetologist complete two-to four-year programs. The average cost of attending a two or four-year college will range from $5,000 through $15,000. Every state requires cosmetologist to completed cosmetology school.
