I am a Senior who currently attends The University of Texas at Austin High School, an online school program. Throughout my life, I never really was one to have a set “career idea” in mind. As I got older, I have been narrowing it down, but recently starting my freshman year, I finally knew what I wanted to do in life. It may not be traditional, but it’s a path that allows me to use my creative side, which I cherish and admire so much. I have planned out what I would like to do with this career and what I would want to accomplish. I have decided to go to school to become a nail technician. Over the last couple of years, I have gained an interest in this industry and the process. And throughout my high school years, I have been self-taught, but I know there's so much more to learn, so with that I plan to go to school so I can start up my own business.

I know that cosmetology schools in general teach you what is needed to pass state board exams, but I hope I can gain more advice and information. But I'm also open to learning other areas in cosmetology, but at this moment I would like to narrow my focus on nails and see what I'm able to do with that. Now concerning my career goals, I plan to start my own business which will consist of me being an independent nail technician. I know since I will be solo on this it will be difficult, but I am up for the challenge, and I know I can do
