Cosmetology Career Essay

Cosmetology is a career people consider an easy job that anyone can do. When people hear cosmetology they just think of hair people do not always think of what else is behind cosmetology. But as some people don’t know behind cosmetology comes the careers fields like hair , nails , and skin. My selected career skill set can increase problem solving and critical thinking because as Reese Susan says on The Beauty of Cosmetology “Cosmetology is a profession artistry, practical knowledge and a high degree of that blend of communication and psychology commonly known as “people skills”. As Dawn Rosenberg Mckay says in her article of The Balance- Cosmetology Career Options “Clients turn to him or her for advice about what styles and colors will work well for them based on their hair's texture, condition and color, and their complexion.” She wants to let people know when you get a client and the client does not know what they would like the client would turn to the cosmetologist and if the cosmetologist does not know then the client would want someone else to do their hair or makeup. People go to saloons or have personal cosmetologist so the client can refer to someone to do their hair or makeup. As this generation we are in people are more into fashion and in fashion there has to do with makeup and hair and with that you need a cosmetologist.
