What you would need to become a cosmetologist: • One will need to have a certificate or an associates degree in a educational program at a cosmetology school or a place that has licensed teachers. These programs prepare students to take the licensed exams that must be completed to work in every state and provide them with styling and business skills so you can work in a spa, salon and other personal care. Program levels in cosmetologist you can reserve a certificate or associated degree . Programs specializations in nail technology and esthetics may be offered.
