The way goods were made, people lived and the way cities functioned. The two revolutions had similar changes like the increase in information and its availability. Literature during the Renaissance was less religious than the time period before and authors were less restricted. People were able to write about their experiences as humans and their ideas. The printing press was an invention that made it easier for books to be mass produced. The industrial revolution raised the literacy rate, making it easier for information and ideas to be shared and this increased people's quality of life. Although they had these similarities they also had differences that defined the time period. During the industrial revolution there was a loss of focus when it came to humans as individuals. They were no longer seen as people, they were only seen as profit and big businesses did anything necessary in order to maximize earnings.
