Correctional Officers in the US are responsible for supervising the people who are awaiting trial after being arrested (Spindler 169). Their duties extend to control those individuals who have been sentenced to serve a jail term in prison. The career of a correlation officer is risky because they are vulnerable to confrontations and intimacy from the prisoners.
