Josephine, I can definitely relate to you. As a Correctional Officer there are so many various courses and training that is offered to you. most the courses and training is designed to help you enhance your talents. Having great social skills in a corrections setting is certainly an advantage for you and the offenders.
You should express to your supervisor that you feel that your talents are not being utilized properly. As a supervisor, he/she should take action quickly to correct your issue. However, it is great that you have dependable co-workers during your time of need. Putting your pride to the side and asking for help says a lot about your work ethics. I am sure you will go far with your company.
