Corporal Punishment Synthesis Essay

Did you know that corporal punishment is still being used in America.to be exact it is used frequently in schools in thirteen states, it is legal in twenty one states(Source C). Corporal punishment is where a student is physically disciplined for their bad doings.I believe that students should get paddled and that we should keep physical discipline.it will improve student behavior, it will influence on the school’s atmosphere by making it a calm place, and corporal punishment is an alternative too out of school suspension. Corporal punishment could improve students behavior in school.After the student has been hit they wouldn’t want to cause any more trouble again because they know they will definitely have consequences.Statistics in a school have shown that less students had a visit to the office for punishment after adding corporal punishment(Source A). It is like a vacation for them.So why would you punish a student by letting he/she stay home for doing bad things. Instead he/she should be paddled for their badness.Also in out of school suspension the student would lose learning time(Source E). Many people may not agree with my reasoning about corporal punishment, yes it might be a little too extreme, yes it’s painful,and yes it can cause emotional pain, like being traumatized about it but it is the student’s fault for doing bad things in the first place.Students must learn their lesson. Overall my reasons for keeping corporal punishment,it will improve student behavior,it will influence good things on the school’s atmosphere, and it is an alternative to out of school suspension.Physical discipline may but but it is the best way to run a successful
