Corona Vs Heineken Case Study

Corona vs. Heineken Which is the more superior beer, Corona or Heineken? I believe Corona is the better beer due to the fact that Corona has the better taste and personally I would drink Corona over Heineken. Heineken once gave me an excruciating headache that caused agonizing pain from the head down after a long day of drinking Heineken out on the lake. Corona is the better beer when compared to Heineken. For example, I once purchased a six pack of each brand to meet my hydration needs to prepare myself for a long, yet fun lake day. After finishing both servings of beverages, I realized that Corona is the more superior beer because Corona did not leave the bitter after taste and left me feeling refreshed. As a result, I made the trip …show more content…
Many beer companies advertise their product at prices that are noticeably lower than what they actually are when the beer is ready to be purchased from the shelves. Both Corona and Heineken run at three dollars a bottle when purchased individually. A twelve pack consisting of Corona bottles generally cost about thirteen to fifteen dollars. A twelve pack of Heineken bottles cost anywhere from fourteen to seventeen dollars. Although locations must be taken into consideration when comparing the two prices, Corona is the obvious choice. Observing that Corona is the better choice when comparing prices between the two products, Corona and Heineken are rather expensive when compared to cheaper domestic products such as Keystone Light, Coors Light, or Bud Light. When purchased from a liquor store, both Corona and Heineken are raised about two dollars due to the higher alcohol content. Corona and Heineken are generally favored by individuals who enjoy a nice quality beer without letting the price bother oneself. There are multiple factors that contribute to the quality of these two beers, but one important factor is the …show more content…
Many brewers follow similar recipes, but the ingredients of Corona and Heineken is the second reason to compare these two beers. Corona and Heineken both have a great high quality taste, but the ingredients differ. Although the basic recipe for Heineken is closely guarded, the ingredients are no secret. Heineken ingredients include barley malt (grain), hops (flavor-maker), water, yeast, and gluten with no additional additives. The amount of gluten usually depends on whether the beer is a lighter or darker colored product, with the lighter beer containing less gluten than the darker beer such as Heineken. Heineken is a dark lager beer, so this is not a gluten free product by no means. The ingredients for Corona look similar to Heineken 's. The ingredients include barley malt, rice, hops, yeast, ascorbic acid, propylene glycol, and/or corn. Corona is one of the beers that possess a yellow characteristic color. Since my mother just arrived back home from a week-long vacation in Mexico, I know that Corona is one of Mexico 's leading import alcohol beverages. The ingredients give Corona the edge over Heineken. The final reason to give Corona the edge over Heineken is the high quality

What makes a sour beer so pricey in addition to the cost of manufactured ingredients is the time needed for the yeast and bacteria to give the beer that desired flavor. This process can take years; far too long for a young brewer to wait. Instead he used Solera, a historic process to cut the aging down to two months. Traditionally, Solera is a cluster of wooden barrels used to make a variety of drinks, such as sherry or ports. Kahler used this technique to achieve the complex craft beers he wanted.…
