Cornwall: A Short Story

Decent Essays
A couple years ago, Cornwall was a little puppy that had a lot of energy. he would run, jump, and even went up the stairs. Cornwall could run a whole beach 10 times without stopping. Kevin, who was getting lazy had a bad habit dropping his leach and he would run like the wind took over him. Cornwall was also able to run though obstacles like a show dog to, but even more fast.

One day Kevin had an idea. He thought that Cornwall could try out for a dog show. But a problem was that how was he going to tell his dad and Howie. How was he going to back up his idea with facts? He had to put up a good case. Cornwall was losing energy very lowly, getting sadder, lazier, sleep in more, overall doing everything less. Kevin thought the dog show would help because maybe it was going to make him happy seeing other dogs. Kevin thought he could be a show dog, maybe break some records. All of it was just a maybe.

He didn’t get far much. He kept on saying that he got an idea. Nobody would let me him talk about it at all. Kevin was rethinking his idea. He thought, if nobody listened to me, I should scratch the idea. Cornwall was getting ready for the summer. He hasn’t gone to the beach when he was a puppy. Kevin, had another idea. If, we wanted to put Cornwall in the dog show, he has to see how fast he is. He was going to time Cornwall. If, Cornwall went less than 20 seconds, than he would talk about his dad and Howie about the dog

As the daughter of parents who love to travel, I’ve had the pleasure of travelling across Canada and America as well as a few other countries from a young age. I have visited the loud and bustling streets of Tokyo and the ethereal gardens in Kyoto, stood on the edge of the Grand Canyon, walked the strip in Las Vegas, and watch the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean in Martha’s Vineyard. Although I should be able to look back on a childhood filled with events and memories from trips, I find it difficult to recall most vacations without a visual prompt. When I flip through old family photo albums, I don’t recall much more than what is shown in their pages. The outdated clothing, the people, and the locations are seen in the images, and therefore…

Even though English settlers traveled across the Atlantic to the Chesapeake Bay area, the West Indies, and the area that became New England all around the same time, they formed very different kinds of society. This makes it obvious that the determining factor in the way colonial societies grow is dependent on more than just the lifestyle its settlers had in their homeland. In addition to the reasons for settlement in each area, one might also explore the obstacle settlers faced in colonization, and the practices that took root as they lived in these areas. One of the most influential factors in how a colonial society grew is the reasons for which the colony is founded. For the colonies in the Chesapeake Bay and the West Indies, profit was the major reason for their founding.…
