Marketing is the execution of a plan that provides solutions in which to communicate to potential customers and society, the products, goods, ideas or services that are offered and the reasons why these are superior to others in the market in an effort to advance exchanges.
Marketing allows a business to effectively reach key demographics of potential customers. With a clear and oriented marketing strategy, marketing will enable the exchange of offerings to take place. In order for society to become consumers they must first be made aware of the offering and persuaded to purchase by informing them of all the reasons the product is superior. Related to how the company markets, it must decide how it wants to portray itself to the public.
Once the company has established an appropriate mission statement a situation analysis should be performed in order for the company to examine itself internally and identify strengths and weaknesses. The analysis also allows the company to realize the external environment’s opportunities and threats.

Strengths
Product differentiation competitive advantage, Cornerstone Food Product is the sole provider of Cornerstone popcorns unique popcorn.
Niche competitive advantage, cornerstone popcorn is able to provide an easily digestible popcorn.
Cornerstone popcorn has unique packaging that allows the bag to transform into themed shapes
Weaknesses
Corn is difficult to grow, leading to limited production.
The company is not large enough to take advantage of economies of scale or having an established infrastructure.
Corn is grown and processed under strict controls leading to increased cost of production versus other popcorn breeds.

Parents with school aged children would be interested in this product for the various activities the children are involved with. The themed popcorn could be used at birthdays, sporting celebrations or just about any kind party. If marketed correctly, it could be appealing to both the children for the novelty of the product and the parents for the health and price qualities over other snack foods available.
Popcorn connoisseurs will have this product marketed to them based on the quality and taste of the popcorn not available from any other brand. Popcorn lovers are looking for the very best popcorn and cornerstone popcorn will provide that with their exclusive breed popcorn.
Health conscious consumers will appreciate the fact that cornerstone popcorn uses sunflower oils with all of its benefits. The popcorn also has a uniquely tiny hull that is easily digestible.
