Coretta King Scott's Loss Of Freedom

Coretta King Scott,a civil rights activist, once said “ Freedom is never really won, you earn it and win it in every generation.” I 100% agree with this statement. With each generation people have arguments and fight about what they can and can’t do. Some people have taken the subtle route to get their rights or win their freedoms, but others choose to take more drastic measures to get what they want or may need. You win and lose freedoms everyday. In fact, it happens so often that you probably don’t even realize it. Around your house you win and lose freedom. A parent or guardian might allow you to finally do something that takes more responsibility. This is an example of when you win or gain one of your everyday freedoms. In your community , just like if you disobey your parents, if you disobey the law, then you get your freedom of being to go where you want taken away. They do this by sending you to the slammer. Here it takes months to years to finally be trusted to go back out into society. Another place where you have to win freedoms would be school. Yes I said school! Even though teachers are teaching children valuable information, they also have their rules and if you break them they have their consequences. In school if you misbehave or just don’t take responsibility, then you also have to take the punishments such as detention and bad grades. Another example of having your freedoms given or taken away is when you get your driver's license. All teens dream of it, while their parents dread it! When you are given your driver's license you are expected to follow the rules of the road and be responsible. In some cases this is good because you have just been given the right to drive! In others it fails because you might break the rules. If you do then you get your driver's license taken away or suspended. In order to get it back you have to take your test again. In addition to you losing your license, you might also get put in
