My core interest talk was about accomplishment and inspiration in my life. It was also about how I became motivated to accomplish what I wanted to do in my life and how I wanted to inspire others like me. During my talk, I really strived to connect with the audience with all the 4 C’s (connection, context, change/climax, and conclusion) in the aspect of storytelling. I also kept fairly calm in my talk and not submitting myself to nervousness. In response to my talks, one of my classroom peers quoted on the peer evaluations that “You followed the 4 C’s and the speech flowed very well and was easy to listen to.” and that I had “great flow” during the talk. I think my talk pulled in everybody who was listening with the 4 C’s and had good transition.
