Decent Essays
I think that the Core five Personality Dimensions and Self-Awareness Assessment’s results are on point. I would not expect anything different. In the Core Five Personality Dimension, it stated that I had low stable and the rest moderate. I agree that I have low stability because I stress more than average people. However, it state that I could exercise to lower the stress and I been going to the gym for a month now and it is true that it lowers stress. In Self-Awareness Assessment, it state I have normal ability to increase self-awareness. I know that I need to continue learning more about myself but I do feel I am in touch on how I feel.
I can say that I am satisfied with the results because I know I need to improve and learn how to grow in

Growing up in one of the poorest regions of the United States has taught me two things; one, we are not defined by stereotypes, and two, hardships are made to be overcome. Nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, Middlesboro, KY sits on the Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia border. The multicolored fall foliage and the vivid green mountains in the spring are disserved by the descriptor spectacular. My roots are firmly nestled in the Cumberland Gap where Daniel Boone started his journey to the West decades ago. I am proud to call myself an Appalachian-American.…

Crazy, I’m thinking, who knows more about yourself than, you of course? I question taking some generic self-assessment that I found online, but knew deep down that I wouldn’t care of the results based off its creditability. Luckily one of my first class assignment of the year required me to take some legit self-assessments: Jung typology personality test and Innermetrix Disc Index. Jung Typology personality first appeared as the typical self-assessments that I have taking in the past.…

Self-awareness is a topic I learned about after being assigned an essay. Before receiving the essay topic I was completely oblivious to the concept. This essay topic let me realise that self-awareness plays a major role in a person's happiness. Since being aware of my own actions allows me to get a glimpse of how others view me, self-awareness plays a useful part in my everyday interactions. As a result of the essay I wrote in highschool, I have become inspired by the topic of self awareness and have made it a goal to become a more self-aware individual.…

The assessment I chose was I.A.2: What’s my Jungian 16-type Personality (Robbins, 2009). It consisted of 32 multiple choice questions to identify where one lands on four dimensions of personality. I chose a personality self-assessment because I read in the textbook that understanding our personality is important. It allows us to understand ourselves better and learn what our advantages and disadvantages are (Vandeveer & Menefee, 2010).…

Overall, the Big Five was almost true in my case, but I guess my result will be different if a friend or family member evaluate my personality. I think researchers try to figure out how accurate the results of personality are for each people by conducting similar assessment. And also, as mentioned in Personality Assessment in the textbook, it is impossible to measure all personalities using just one method because of its strengths and limitations, and the purposes of assessment such as an aptitude for the job and the research for particular area like biases toward black people on the implicit tests (Personality Assessment). Using various types of method could give us the more reliable results of our personality.…

We are limited to our interpretation because we are unable to see the data. I feel the data is inconclusive. One reason being is that the people filling out the personality assessments for the people they just met may not be getting accurate results because patients may not be forthcoming and honest when answering questions. I would have to say I do not feel positive towards the report knowing how I scored on my personality test. I scored low on openness and conscientiousness, yet I’m very concerned about my health and well-being.…

My test results described me very closely to what I think I am. Then again, my idea of myself could differ from what I really am, like with Neuroticism I am a generally relaxed guy. With Agreeableness i feel like the survey was a little off because I feel like I’m more forgiving and better natured than It says I am. For the majority of the survey was correct give or take a few points, I feel like knowing this could help me in the future with school, college and In life in general. When I compare my assessment with my wife the difference was 27 which I felt was very high. When you look at our self-awareness assessment my score was 18 and my wife was 10. This is still a shock to me after knowing her for about 25 years. The one question that I felt my wife assessment on herself was no accurate in my opinion was “I recognize how my feelings affect my performance”. She is currently on medication from her dealing with the war while in the military.…

When I take a personality test, they were never accurate until now. The Myers Briggs test was right on point for my assessment, actually I never thought of the reason why I am quick to think before I react, or be so “cold” when it came down to decision making. I always thought I was someone who wouldn’t attract people to me but, from this test it opened my eyes that I do attract more people to me before I even talked to them. Sometimes when I need to get a point across I use accurate data, or facts to prove a point. I do know that I am well organize with my agenda but also will come to the occasion that I will completely miss something because I wasn’t paying attention.…

When taking the Big Five Personality Test, I scored a 50 in extroversion, 39 in emotional stability, 67 in agreeableness, 84 in conscientiousness, and 23 in intellect/imagination. According to the results I am neither an outgoing or shut in person, I range about 50/50 with my sociable skills. I am on the low side of emotional stability, but was scored as friendly, optimistic, careful, diligent, and tend to be conventional when it comes to imagination. With these results, I was surprised that my score was low for emotional stability because I feel like I have stable emotions, minus stress related factors. My results were accurate in a way that I am an organized person who tends to talk a lot, but not try to be the center of attention as if I…

Also, I need to be more sensitive about other people’s feeling in order to understand the reason that they behaved that way. How to understand myself through self-awareness? We would need to identify what we need to be self-aware of. First, what positive traits do we have and how we can improve them? For instance, my strength is that when someone try to look down on me, I will perservere and work even harder to show them that I can definitely do it.…

There were too many variables that make the test less reliable. In contrast I do think the introvert vs. introvert personality assessment was a reliable test. I think I would consistently answer the questions the same due to its specificity. It is a valid form of testing because it is specifically testing if you are either introverted or extroverted. This test also seemed to assess my behaviors in certain social settings as well as how I feel in a social setting.…
