. Yes, there is imagery in the novel. Imagery provides a detailed description of the area a character is in. An example of imagery would be when they first got to the island. This was important because it gave you an idea of what the island looked like and so that when an event took place you would have some type of knowledge to know what the surroundings of the character looked like.
